Editing options for writers

Do you just need a second opinion,

some structural support or some help to

avoid the grammar police?

From simple proofreading to detailed editing.

They’re your words with just a little polish.

Business editing

Make the right impression from the very first word.

Are you writing your own content?
Is English your second language?
Are you full of ideas, but stuck on the grammar?

If you want a 2nd opinion, an in-depth, critical edit can help. I’ll review and adjust your wording to make sure your meaning is clear and your point well made – but without losing your style.

Blogs, articles, e-books, websites and brochures – all the editing your business needs.

Fiction editing

You’ve got a tale to tell, a story to weave, a novel to narrate.

If you’re an independent author or aiming to self-publish, I’d love to help you get ready for your readers.

Proofreading – word-by-word checks for spelling, and grammar.

Editing – line-by-line edits for clarity, pace and tone, with an overview of consistency and sense-checking.

Not sure whether I’m the editor for you? It’s not a decision to make lightly. Your work deserves the right support – so let’s talk first.

I was struggling to finish my first novel in English, the manuscript was over 60.000 words at that point. I sent Gayle (GECopywriter) my manuscript and a whole list of things I hoped she could look at – going way over what we had talked about, and she couldn’t have been nicer or more patient about it.

Gayle read through the whole thing and pointed out plotholes I had overlooked, twists I had lost and gave me great advice on everything from storyline to characters, exactly what I needed to get the manuscript ready for submission. She even took the time to point out language mistakes, which I know was a major task, as English is my second language.

My book is now with a major publisher and part of that is thanks to Gayle’s work. I would happily recommend her services to anyone.
